In general, banner advertising is a powerful tool for web site promotion. Up to now, you had two possibilities how to be involved: pay commercial banner advertising service, which can offer well developed targeting of your advertising, or to use free service, which however has no or very poor targeting.



If you have a non-commercial BioScience web site and have no funds for the purpose, but still would like to promote more efficiently, you have now third and the best possibility - advertise with BioBanner. We join both advantages: no charges for targeting your ads to scientific community!

Do you want to promote your achievements, new papers, opportunities for research or education? You are welcome to become a member of our BioBanner promoting service. After you fill out simple form, you can immediately upload your ad to our system and place BioBanner on your site. We will review your first banner, but you can upload all the next ads by yourself.

Per one account, you can have two banners of standard sizes (468x60 JPG/GIF image and 125x125 textual ad). Your ad will be randomly exposed on web sites of our members. We don't use cookies, nor we store information about your visitors. However, you will be able to see, how many times your banner has been impressed and clicked.

Note that you can register also part of a more complex web site. For instance, if you want to promote your new essay, you can register URL which directly links to it, not to the welcome screen of a web site, which your page is part of.

BioBanner is maintained by Martin Kucej. He is a postdoc at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. This service is run on volunteer basis on expense of his free time.
