1) Applying web site must not be commercial activity. It must be maintained by (i) individuals on volunteer basis, or (ii) a non-profit organization. Web site goods/services/contents must be offered for free.
2) Applying web site content should be of good quality and of interest and use to a broad scientific community. The content must be written in English, or have an English version, and must deal with scientific or educational topics in Life Sciences.
3) At one time (per one account), user may incorporate to the system one banner image of a maximum size of 20 kb and a resolution of 468 x 60 pixels and one textual ad consisting of a maximum of 6 lines with 15 letters. Banners can be updated freely.
4) The administrators of the individual sites are responsible for the content and legal integrity of the banners entered into the system. The BioBanner system administrator bears no responsibility for any violation of copyright and the truthfulness of advertising messages.
5) Registered web site must place BioBanner on any of its pages by inserting user-specfic HTML code provided in members section.
6) The BioBanner HTML code may not be changed in any way without prior consultation and agreement with the system administrator. (The only exception is in paragraph 7.)
7) BioBanner side bar images can be removed by user, if top-left corner of the banner is placed less than 300 pixels from the left margin and 500 pixels from the top margin of the screen.
8) The BioBanner HTML code may not be placed on pages (i) which are created to transfer to other pages without any further action being taken by the visitor, (ii) on pop-up windows, and (iii) on the very end of a page after many line breaks.
9) Each user has the right of withdrawing from the system at any time.
10) The administrators of the BioBanner system reserve the right to change these conditions. In that case user will be notified by email.
