Who can be a member?

Applying web site must not be commercial activity.

Applying web site must have at least 50% of its content in English language, or must have English version.

Content of applying site must deal with scientific or educational matters in field of Life Sciences, e.g. presentations of projects, laboratories, institutes, departments, scientific news, web crawlers and directories... Sites with any other propagation of Life Sciences, including personal homepages can also apply, however, they must also possess high quality content on scientific issues.

What is the benefit of BioBanner service?

You can promote your site by incorporating your ad to our system. Server will randomly expose your ad on the sites of our users.

How must my banner look like?

Banner must be an image 468 pixels wide and 60 pixels high. Format of the image can be either JPG or GIF (including animated and transparent format). Size of your banner can be up to 20 Kbytes. The smaller the size the better for downloading speed.

Where do I have to put my BioBanner HTML code?

Anywhere to your page, top, middle or bottom. See conditions for details.

Must I put BioBanner on the same page, which I registered?

No. You can register URL for a particular article, or announcement, which is part of your web site. BioBanner must be placed on any page of that web site.

May I place more than one BioBanner on my web site?

Yes. We encourage you to do so.

How can you ensure there will be no commercial banners?

Each site is reviewed when user wants to upload the first banner. All the next banners will be reviewed occasionally. If you feel that certain banner violates the conditions, let us know, it will be deleted and its author consulted.

When I upload a banner, does it replace my previous banner?

Yes, new banner replaces the old one. Even if they differ in formats. You can have one banner per account. However, you can register as many acounts as you want.

I'd like to include BioBanner HTML code to my site. How to do it?

First, log in as a registered user. Then click on Generate Code in left menu. Select the HTML code in textarea, copy it and paste it to your HTML file.

How can I send you my banner?

Log in as a registered user. Click on Upload Banner in left menu. Choose the path to your image file and click Send Image button.
