Summary:
Permission denied for BIRCH launcher on OSX
|
Original submission:
On a multi-user BIRCH system on MacOSX, if a user who is not the owner of BIRCH clicks on the BIRCH launcher icon, they get a permission denied error.
This appears to be because
$BIRCH/admin/launchers/biolegato.app/Contents/MacOS/applet
is not world-executable. The owner can launch birch through the launcher, but other users cannot.
(Typing 'birch' at the command line works for all users.)

Tested on MacOSX, and it now works.

I have changed
/home/psgendb/BIRCHDEV/script/osx_launcher/biolegato.app/Contents/MacOS/applet
to be world-executable. Still need to test this fix on
a development release.
