This course teaches biologists how to use the powerful Linux operating system to work with biological data. Topics to be covered include system architecture, common system commands, system tools and software including web server, database server, remote shells, FTP, standalone applications, programming and workflow development tools, etc.

The lecture is tentatively scheduled for 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM US EDT (16:00 to 18:00 GMT). It will also be recorded for later viewing.
