RESPONSIBILITIES
The Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Associate 5 will computationally investigate patterns and properties characterizing the genomic structure and composition of humans and other primates (Orangutan, Marmoset, Gibbon, etc.). These analyses involve the combination of high-performance computing and advanced human-computer interaction (e.g., multitouch tables, tablets, and tiled displays involving tangible interfaces) with software including Galaxy and in-house codes. These efforts involve the intersection of projects engaging the NIH LBRN (Louisiana Biomedical Research Network)'s computational biology core; and the NSF Melete interactive supercomputing project.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications: (Postdoctoral Researcher): PhD, M.D., or equivalent degree and experience in computation genomics. (Research Associate 5): M.S. with substantial academic, medical, and/or industry experience specifically with computational genomics.
