    Opportunity: Postdoctoral Fellows in BIOINFORMATICS and COMPUTATIONAL GENOMICS @ The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine -- Farmington, CT (US)

    BACKGROUND

    Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Ouyang Lab at the research institute Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. The Ouyang Lab specializes in developing novel statistical and computational methodologies for genomics. Our specific research interests include but are not limited to gene regulation, noncoding RNA, and chromatin organization. We have direct access to large-scale datasets from cutting-edge sequencing technologies and disease model systems, working in close collaboration with experimentalists.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Well-suited candidates should have Ph.D. experience in bioinformatics, statistics, biostatistics, computer science, or related fields. Strong programming skills (R and Python/Perl/C/C++), statistical modeling expertise, and good publication records are essential. Prior experience in next generation sequencing and high-throughput genomics is a strong plus.

The institute is located in Farmington, on the University of Connecticut Medical School's campus and in the Hartford metropolitan area. It is within 40 minute drive of New Haven and 2 hour drive of both New York City and Boston.
