Opportunity: Project Manager (Bioinformatics/Science) @ PHG Foundation -- Cambridge, UK

BACKGROUND
The PHG Foundation is an independent international non-profit organisation working to achieve the responsible and evidence based application of biomedical science for health. The Foundation is seeking to employ someone into a Project Manager (Bioinformatics/Science)role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a great opportunity for a scientist with practical bioinformatics experience to get involved in our strategically relevant policy programmes aimed at translating biomedical research into healthcare.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have a good first degree in a biological science, sound understanding of genomics and molecular biology, and expertise in human bioinformatics (specifically working with large scale human genomic datasets). Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant postgraduate qualification and/or good track record of CPD. Importantly, you must have real interest in public policy and making science work for health.
You will need demonstrable project management skills and a talent for writing and communicating complex issues to a variety of audiences. You must have the personal qualities to work well with fellow professionals and experts in a multidisciplinary environment, on interesting policy projects that combine the latest science and technologies with their ethical, legal, social and economic implications.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who will be committed to helping the PHG Foundation to further develop its reputation as an international health policy institute.
TERMS
Full Time or part-time (min 30 hours p.w.)
COMPENSATION
Salary in the range GBP 28-40k p.a. plus benefits
