The candidate will also have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from some of the world's experts in bioinformatics, genomics and molecular diagnostics.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical capability expected:

Expert knowledge of Java, Groovy, and/or Python
Education and experience in a quantitative field (for example, statistical or molecular genetics, computer science, or bioinformatics)
Strong discipline when it comes to writing code that does important things
Exposure to (or enthusiasm for learning) high-performance and cloud computing technologies
Experience accessing and analyzing terabyte-scale data using SQL and NoSQL
Demonstrable logical and analytical thinking
Solid communications skills – both written and oral
