Opportunity: BIOINFORMATICS/Data Scientist @ Nodality -- South San Francisco, CA (US)
Submitted by David Spellmeyer; posted on Friday, January 03, 2014

    BACKGROUND

Nodality is a start-up biotechnology company with a unique technology that reveals biological function to enable better drug development, diagnostics and patient care. Nodality is seeking an individual who is motivated to apply his/her computational skills to solving problems at the intersection of biology and personalized medicine. You will join a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients by connecting functional biology to drug development and patient outcome.

Nodality has a proven track record of applying our cutting-edge, proprietary Single Cell Network Profiling (SCNP) technology to measure the internal state of individual cells. We have optimized this technology to enable robust, high throughput data collection. We develop insights into disease biology, drug function and patient response through a combination of data mining and statistical analysis of this complex, highly dimensional data and biological understanding. Selected as the "Most Promising Company" at the 2011 Personalized Medicine World Conference, Nodality works on exciting projects in multiple disease areas ranging from oncology to immunology.

In this role, you will make significant contributions to Nodality's research and development team as we design and analyze experiments with high information content.
