Opportunity: Postdoctoral Position in Plant Genomics/Bioinformatics @ Purdue University -- West Lafayette, IN (US)

BACKGROUND
A full-time postdoctoral position in Plant Genomics/Bioinformatics is available in the Department of Agronomy at Purdue University.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will investigate transposon-mediated genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic variations in plants, and be expected to contribute to a variety of studies on plant structural, evolutionary, and functional genomics.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have a PhD degree in genetics/genomics, bioinformatics/computational biology, or related disciplines.
PREFERENCES
Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and programming (e.g., PERL and R), and previous experience with analyses of large-scale genome sequencing and re-sequencing data, mRNA-Seq and sRNA-Seq data is highly desirable.
COMPENSATION
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
