RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs and monitors biomedical research projects and assumes primary responsibility for the analysis and presentation of project data
Designs federated database solutions in Molecular Biology; implements and maintains such designs, analyzes and reports data, incorporates life sciences ontology or vocabularies into data semantics and designs computational tools for data exchange that incorporates data ontology
Collaborates with biomedical investigators and assists in developing objectives, designing sampling, randomization and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives
Prepares analysis plans and writes detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures; communicates with clients and international colleagues regarding statistical analysis issues
Collaborates with clinic and other personnel, including analyst/programmers in monitoring and assessing data quality
Analyzes data and prepares tables for interim and final reports; assists in the development of a user-friendly integrated biology database
Writes results section of reports or publications
Provides direction and guidance to support personnel
Design federated approaches to search across and access multiple databases
Applies advanced bioinformatics, statistical, and computational techniques
Leads microarray and next generation sequencing-based analysis of animal models of vaccination while integrating data from human subjects

REQUIREMENTS

Required Experience:

Minimum three (3) years of experience in microarray, epigenetic and RNA sequencing bioinformatics analysis
Experience developing and creating new bioinformatics analysis techniques
Experience in immune pathway and gene expression analysis
