He/she will work with other analysts and perform whole exome and whole genome DNA sequencing data processing, variant calling, and interpretation. The incumbent will perform GWAS analysis and use public genetic/genomic data resources. The selected Data Analyst will assist in RNA sequencing data QC, alignment and analysis (differential expression, alternative splicing, allele specific expression) e.g., for NIH-funded projects on human macrophages and vascular cell specific functions in heart disease. He/she will perform project-specific tasks with post-doctoral scientists and fellows/clinicians, help with data management and back-up and assist with additional genomic/bioinformatics analyses (e.g., data visualization, regulatory networks, gene expression kinetics) tasks as needed.

- At least one year of applied experiences in human genetics, genomics, computational functional genomics, with genome-wide sequence data types. Organized with the ability to work as a team following common protocols and algorithms while also taking initiative to develop and apply methods in an independent manner. Experience with DNA-seq and/or RNA-seq data analyses.
- Master's degree in domains outlined above is preferred but not required. Prior experience with human whole exome DNA-seq data analysis and team approach for clinical applications (e.g., diagnostic algorithms for return of results to clinic) or experience with RNA-seq data analysis including single cell data preferred.
