RESPONSIBILITIES

Working on international consulting/IT projects with leading pharmaceutical companies
Design and implementation of data processing pipelines to make data accessible to data scientists
The semantic integration of public data sources with customer databases
Supporting or leading the creation of sophisticated, high-performance Enterprise applications
Developing standards for data exchange
Working reliably on projects within a given time and budget frame whilst maintaining our quality standards

REQUIREMENTS

Required experience:

Completion of a M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, (bio/chem/med) informatics or a closely related discipline
Knowledge of data transformation methodologies
Hands-on experience with data processing at scale (e.g. MapReduce, Spark, Storm, Hive, Impala, Kafka, KNIME, Talend...)
Combination of structured and unstructured data
Very good verbal and written German and English skills
Willingness to travel from time to time
A demonstrated ability to use flexible thinking to solve problems
