Most individuals move into a career in the [url=http://www.regulatoryworld.com/php/index.php]Regulatory World[/url] after attending a regulatory seminar or on the advise of an experienced regulatory professional. One particular incident of a professor who introduced the subjects of clinical studies, device classification and regulatory approval process in his bioengineering classes was inspirational in guiding many of his students into jobs in the vast [url=http://www.regulatoryworld.com/php/index.php]Regulatory World[/url]. Most individuals move into regulatory affairs after working in their given industry in another capacity such as research and development or manufacturing. Professionals who actually seek out a career in the [url=http://www.regulatoryworld.com/php/index.php]Regulatory World[/url] are few and far between.
A global poll conducted among regulatory affairs professionals showed that most of them learned about regulatory affairs while working in industry in another capacity. In several cases, someone was needed to perform a regulatory function and nobody else volunteered for the job. Or after being hired for another position, the regulatory person left and the respondent to the poll had to assume the responsibility. While some respondents learned of regulatory affairs while job hunting or through job interviews, there were respondents who learned of regulatory affairs while in college or while doing research for a college project. Then there were rare cases of respondents benefiting from having a parent/spouse/sibling who worked in the [url=http://www.regulatoryworld.com/php/index.php]Regulatory World[/url] and suggested regulatory affairs as a career option.
The respondents did cite similar reasons for selecting a career in the regulatory world. Most said they knew they wanted a career in the healthcare industry. Many, especially those with engineering backgrounds, wanted a career in which they could combine their interest in healthcare or medicine with their technical knowledge.
