Opportunity: Postdoctoral position on MICROARRAY ANALYSIS at the Ecole des Mines de Paris, France

DESCRIPTION
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the computational biology group of the Ecole des Mines de Paris. Applicants should have a PhD in mathematics, computer science, physics, or in a biomedical science-related field with a strong background in bioinformatics and statistics.
The succesful candidate will work on a joint project with the Curie Institute , the Pasteur Institute and the Ecole des Mines d'Ales, focusing on the analysis of gene expression data for biomedical applications in cancer and infectious disease research. Topics of interest include gene and tissue classification, gene selection, pathways and network analysis, and comparison of gene expression with other sources of information.
With a tradition of excellence of more than two centuries, the Ecole des Mines de Paris is constantly ranked as one of the top French universities for engineering and scientific research and education, and maintains close relations with the industry. The computational biology group was created in 2002 and focuses on the development of statistical and machine learning methods to process biological and chemical data.
