250-Million-Year-Old Bacillus permians Halobacteria Revived

Russell Vreeland, and colleagues from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, reported on October 18 that they had revived Bacillus permians halobacteria from a cavern in New Mexico. The halobacteria ("salt bacteria") were found preserved in sodium chloride crystals, thought to be 250 million years old.

What is the everyday name for Bacillus Permians? If Bacillus Permians is the regular name, then what is the scientific name?
