    The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is a non-profit organization focused on developing earlier diagnostics and smarter treatments.
    Translational genomics research employs innovative advances arising from the Human Genome Project and applying them to the development of diagnostics, prognostics and therapies for cancer, neurological disorders, diabetes and other complex diseases.
    TGen's research program combined with scientific and clinical expertise is ready to move genomic discoveries to the clinic for the benefit and care of all….from Bench to Bedside.



    JOB SUMMARY:
    TGen has an open position at the associate investigator level in its Computational Biology Division. A more senior position might be possible for an outstanding candidate. The Computational Biology Division is a research division within TGen focused on mathematical modeling and the development of decision-making and analysis tools for genomics. The successful candidate should possess a background in pattern recognition and gene regulatory networks, as well as being familiar with microarray-based expression analysis. This experience should be supported by publications in the relevant areas of computational biology. Strong mathematical, statistical, and computational skills are required. The position involves developing an independent research program with appropriate external funding, working jointly on research issues of interest to the biological divisions at TGen, and mentoring post-doctoral students in the Computational Biology Division.



    REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Phd in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related area.
    2. Biology experience is required.
