DESCRIPTION
Multiple Postdoctoral Fellow positions in Bioinformatics are available at the Center for Gene Regulation at the Pennsylvania State University. Candidates with computational and statistical backgrounds are welcome to apply. The position involves planning and carrying out computational analyses related to gene regulation including the use and refinement of a high throughput data pipeline developed to identify and characterize regulatory elements throughout the genome. Successful candidates will be affiliated with the Center for Gene Regulation at Penn State and are expected to interact and collaborate with several researchers.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Biology with substantial computer programming skills (e.q Python, Perl and/or Java). A proven track record of prior research accomplishments is required. Experience with statistical data analysis of genomic and/or proteomic data is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
