    BACKGROUND:

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Datacorp is currently seeking an experienced, full-time SAS Data Manager/Programmer for its Smithfield, Rhode Island office. Statistical programmers collaborate with a team of researchers and are responsible for data preparation, analysis, and management.

    The SAS Data Manager/Programmer will develop SAS code to profile, prepare and manage data for a high profile, federal data warehouse. This individual will develop complex code, contribute to the ongoing development of data management operating procedures, and contribute to data and meta-data models. This is a challenging position that requires data management experience, especially with large and complex databases. Please note this is not a statistical analyst or statistician's position.

    Specific responsibilities include:
    - Prepare data files from secondary data
    - Consolidate data across different surveys and other data sources
    - Program complex routines to clean and code data
    - Contribute to and maintain SAS code library
    - Maintain meta database

    REQUIREMENTS:
    - Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or in a quantitative discipline
    - At least five years experience with SAS, specifically complex data manipulation
    - Expertise with data management and data cleaning
    - Experience with a wide variety of procedures and applications of SAS, in particular SAS data steps, SAS Macros, and ODS
