    BACKGROUND:
    The GenePool is a Next Generation Sequencing facility, based in Edinburgh University, providing sequencing to a growing number of research groups.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage the data storage and analysis flows for the next-generation sequencing activities; provide bespoke bioinformatics support to the GenePool's user community; and, implement pipelines to streamline data analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Graduate qualification is expected, along with two years experience in programming skills or system administration.

    PREFERENCES:
    A working knowledge of next-generation sequencing bioinformatics, OR manage the data storage and analysis flows for the next-generation sequencing activities.

    TERMS: Fixed Term: 3 Years

    LOCALE: GenePool, Edinburgh University

    SALARY & BENEFITS: 29,704-35,469 GBP pa
