    Opportunity: Systems Engineer, Hospital BIOSTATISTICS @ The Rockefeller University Hospital--NY, NY (US)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Will strengthen computational capacity of grid server through adding software that "prunes" and resubmits jobs as part of an iterative analysis cycle, coordinating these improvements with the grid software development, increase the availability of nodes on the grid, coordinate the development of a help system and provide programming assistance in response to demands emerging from validation runs.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    - Master's degree required.
    - Must have experience in programming and scripting languages (S-PLUS/R, C/C++, Java, Perl/Python) and in working in a grid computational environment including systems running on different operating systems (WINDOWS, Linux, Apple).

    PREFERENCES:
    - Educational emphasis in mathematics, computer science and/or statistics preferred.
    - Experience in statistics and in FPGA programming a plus.

    TERMS:
    This position is funded from September 30, 2009 through June 30, 2011.
