    Opportunity: BIOINFORMATICS Analyst @ CSHL--Cold Spring Harbor, NY (US)

    BACKGROUND:
    A position is available for computational scientist with five years experience in algorithms development at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a world-renowned research and educational institution with innovative research programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology and quantitative biology. The Laboratory is recognized internationally for its excellence in research and educational activities. Website: http://www.cshl.edu

    REQUIREMENTS:
    - Background should include solid training in statistics and programming in C/C++.

    - Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written) and the ability to work in multi-discipline scientific team are essential.

    - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Informatics, or equivalent industry required.

    PREFERENCES:
    Desirable but not essential to have experience in: mapping of DNA and RNA sequences, analysis of nucleic acid sequences for biological features, and experience with large sequence databases.
