Submitted by Alysha Duran; posted on Thursday, September 30, 2010

    BACKGROUND

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, home of three Nobel laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research to eliminate cancer and other potentially fatal diseases. Recognized internationally for its pioneering work in bone-marrow transplantation, the Centerís four scientific divisions collaborate to form a unique environment for conducting basic and applied science. The Hutchinson Center, in collaboration with its clinical and research partners, the University of Washington and Childrenís Hospital and Regional Medical Center, is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Pacific Northwest. Join us and make a difference.

The Quantitative Genetic Epidemiology (QGE) group is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow to conduct research in the areas of statistical genetics, bioinformatics and translational genomic research. The research projects require utilizing new and established quantitative methods to work with data from a number of disciplines and sources, including data from genomic, proteomics, transcriptomics, and clinical follow-up studies.
