Opportunity: Post-Doctoral and PhD positions in BIOINFORMATICS @ University of Connecticut--Storrs, CT (US)

BACKGROUND:
Multiple Ph.D. and a post-doctoral position in the general area of bioinformatics are open in the Applied Algorithmics Lab at the University of Connecticut.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct research in the area of motif search and related areas.

REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidates for PhD Research Assistant positions should have strong analytical and algorithmic skills.
- The post-doctoral candidates should have a strong background in bioinformatics (especially involving algorithms).
- They must have received or be very close to getting their PhD's.
- Publications in relevant Bioinformatics venues are expected.

PREFERENCES:
- Individuals with a background in bioinformatics and algorithms.
- Familiarity with motif search algorithms will be a plus.

TERMS:
These are one-year appointments with a possibility of extensions.

LOCALE:
Applied Algorithmics Lab., University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience.
