    Opportunity: NCS - User Support Analyst (#1002) @ Social & Scientific Systems, Inc.--Rockville, MD (US)

    BACKGROUND

    Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. is looking for a User Support Analyst to support the Information Management System (IMS) contract. This is a large 5-years Federal project supporting the National Children's Study (NCS). The User Support Analyst will be responsible for providing expertise for a large information management system and associated applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The ideal candidate must have solid knowledge of and experience with supporting software applications for a geographically dispersed client base. Previous survey data collection system experience is desirable but not required.

    Duties and responsibilities include:
    • Performs user support, troubleshooting and issue resolution for client reported questions related to off-the shelf and customer application packages
    • Provides one-on-one training and troubleshooting as needed
    • Assists in the development of reports to track user support activities and progress
    • Assists in the development of software user guides, quick reference guides and related system documentation from a variety of medium including draft technical documents, software products, technical charts, and diagrams prepared by project staff
    • Assists in the development of training materials and helping users become familiar with new software

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
    • Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively
    • Familiarity with help desk applications and ticket workflow processes
