RESPONSIBILITIES
Aim: The position involves performing bioinformatics data analysis, data manipulation and formatting, and database management.
Responsibilities:
- Bioinformatics data analysis
- Large-scale data manipulation
- Uploading and extracting data from the database and monitoring and maintaining the database
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in bioinformatics data analysis and manipulation of sequencing data
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
- Good programming skills in Perl, R, FORTRAN or similar languages
- Experience in HPC cluster management is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
- Ability and interest in learning new skills and working productively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- M.S. in animal breeding/genetics/biostatistics/bioinformatics/computer sciences or related field

COMPENSATION
Gross annual salary $60-75k depending on qualifications
