RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aim: The position involves performing bioinformatics data analysis, data manipulation and formatting, and database management.

Responsibilities:
* Bioinformatics data analysis
* Large-scale data manipulation
* Uploading and extracting data from the database and monitoring and maintaining the database

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in bioinformatics data analysis and manipulation of sequencing data
* Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
* Good programming skills in Perl, R, FORTRAN or similar languages
* Experience in HPC cluster management is desirable
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
* Ability and interest in learning new skills and working productively in a team environment
* Strong attention to detail
* M.S. in animal breeding/genetics/biostatistics/bioinformatics/computer sciences or related field

COMPENSATION:
Gross annual salary $60-75k depending on qualifications
