Social & Scientific Systems is seeking a Research Evaluation Analyst to support and facilitate the data management activities of clinical research site, laboratory, and network evaluation programs. The Research Evaluation Analyst will systematically collect, analyze, and report performance measurement data and support the development of new data monitoring and tracking systems.

The successful candidate will work well as part of a team or individually under moderate supervision; communicate effectively with fellow staff members and clients; work productively and effectively to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; exhibit a high degree of flexibility, organization, and attention to detail; contribute consistently high-quality work; display excellent professional and ethical standards in all aspects of the work; and handle sensitive information confidentially.

Job Responsibilities:
* Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of various types of performance evaluation data documents and reports
* Build databases in Access and create queries and forms
* Build and maintain online survey and data collection tools
* Process external data files and facilitate data transfer to internal databases
* Create and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation process guides related to data management activities
* Perform quality control of data and reporting systems
* Interact with internal and external clients to identify and resolve technical issues related to the acquisition and reporting of data

Required Skills:
* Time management skills to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
* Advanced skill in Access databases, queries and forms

Required Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree and five years professional experience with databases and report development tools
* Previous work history with Microsoft Access databases, queries, and forms
* Expert experience using Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience with data cleaning, verification and validation processes
* Detail-oriented and capable of critically analyzing data outputs is essential
* Flexible work style; ability to change direction as the business needs change
* Ability to work alone or with a team of diverse individuals

This position is based in our Silver Spring, MD office.
