The University of Manchester's distance MSc programme in Bioinformatics recruits worldwide. We are now delighted to be able to announce a number of full scholarships for entry in October 2007. Applicants must be nationals of an African Commonwealth country, and currently working in an African Commonwealth country.
The MSc programme has six modules and a research project. The modules available are:
- Introduction to Bioinformatics
- Introduction to Microarray Data Analysis
- Theory and Applications in Bioinformatics
- Introduction to software development using Java
- Intermediate software development using Java
- Biocomputing
- Object-oriented analysis and design with UML
- Introduction to Ontologies for the Biosciences
Additional options are being developed. You will find further information, including a link to the online application form, here: http://octette.cs.man.ac.uk/bioinformatics/index.html
If you have any questions, or need advice on the module options, please send email to manchester.ac.uk, account Heather.Vincent
