I, Librarian makes use of PDF plugins to display PDF files in a web browser. The golden standard is still Adobe Reader, which can be best customized for this purpose. However, Adobe announced that they have no plans to continue development of their Reader for Linux OS. Because about 30% of I, Librarian users are on this platform, I decided to patch this hole with a custom PDF viewer, which will be included in the next version of I, Librarian.

I, Librarian 2.1.2 released, fixes JSTOR and PubMed searches
New version of I,Librarian is available for immediate download. It is, principally, a bug fix release. Version 2.1.2 fixes the broken JSTOR search plus PubMed search now conforms to the new metadata format. Several SQLite bugs have been corrected that precluded the usage of I, Librarian on older Debian. The downloads for Windows, Ubuntu, Mac OS X, and Linux are available here.
