Researchers and Programmers!

This site is your gateway to bioinformatic answers.  There are two main areas
here.  The first is for researchers, looking for bioinformatic solutions.
The second area is for programmers, looking to provide solutions for researchers.
As things are just starting, please be patient.  We are working hard to begin providing
the infrastructure necessary to provide all the necessary links etc.  Cosmetics will
come later....

One other thing we will try is to provide web-based versions of the programs written
here.  For the most part, these will be bits of java code, so you will need a java-
enabled browser.  However, this will iliminate the need to install the program, worry
about security issues, or portability.  Look for a link here in the future...

Recently, bioinformatics.org decided to do away with the painfulness and redundancy of using an ftp site for transferring files. I hope to have made the proper adjustments to the links…. Let me know if you find any errors.

Additionally, I have recently moved to start my first post-doc. I hope to have changed the links on all the pages, but since I am not 100% operational yet, I can’t guarantee anything. My current address is dcox@hsph.harvard.edu if the links don’t work….
