MetaQuant is a Java based program for the automatic and accurate quantification of GC/MS based metabolome data. In contrast to other programs MetaQuant is able to quantify hundreds of substances simultaneously without manual intervention. The integration of a self-acting calibration function allows the parallel and fast calibration for several metabolites. Finally, MetaQuant is able to import GC/MS data in the common NetCDF format and to export the results of the quantification into Microsoft Excel format.
This version offers an easy installation procedure on Windows operating systems and runs without any further dependencies such as an installed Java Runtime Environment.

A prerequisite of this platform independent version is the need of an correctly installed Java Runtime Environment (JRE). MetaQuant requires at least version 1.5 of the JRE.
