I work at the MPI-CBG in Dresden in the Bioinformatics Service Group. We provide a walk-in service for researchers in the institute with basic bioinfo. problems (sequence analysis, phylogeny construction, structure prediction) as well as undertaking larger research projects (e.g. analysis of high throughput screening data). My PhD was with Prof. Paul Sharp on the evolution of bacteria and viruses. The project was entirely computational and examined the evolution of codon usage in bacteria.
