I am Associate Professor in Bioinformatics at Nottingham School of Vet Medicine and Science. I was previously a lecturer in the school of medicine at Keele University. I studied Zoology and completed a PhD in molecular parasitology (Glasgow 2000). I then held positions at Oxford and the Sanger Institute Cambridge and an MRC Fellowship in Bioinformatics to study molecular evolution at UCL developing comparative genomics approaches to investigate the evolution of genes and genomes.
