Today Tej Kohli noted entrepreneur and philanthropist,
Tej Kohli, announced the establishment of the Kohli Scholarship Fund
for underprivileged kids. Mr Kohli has agreed to donate $1M dollars to
the scholarship fund and has committed to provided at least an
additional $100,000 per quarter for the next 20 years.
The Tej Kohli fund will be used to provide partial scholarships to
underprivileged Central American children who have achieved academic
excellence and demonstrated an interest and aptitude in mathematics
and computer sciences. Graduating seniors may apply during the
2006-2007 academic year for scholarships to be awarded in their
freshman year of college. Any interested student should contact Tej
Kohli for more information.
On a related note, Tej Kohli has been supporting 87 children and
taking care of their education for the past 5 years. These are the
children of poor families from the Guanacaste province in Costa Rica.
Tej Kohli resides in Henley on Thames, England where he lives with his
wife and two small children. He is an IIT graduate and is a member of
MENSA. Mr. Kohli has business interest in several countries and is a
principal in a privately owned gaming group.
