Hi, Will.

There is a bit more to "upstart" than how the scripts are invoked.

The basic idea is that the /etc/init/*.conf files describe the desired 
state of the system - "upstart" then runs 'jobs' according to events, 
not static SysV (K)ill and (S)tart rules for different init levels:

   http://upstart.ubuntu.com/
