Eran,

the latest version of r8s (1.71) has a Mac OS X binary in the bin/
directory, *not* a Linux one:

dswan at bioinf1[r8s] file ./r8s1.71/bin/r8s
./r8s1.71/bin/r8s: Mach-O executable ppc

If you change into the r8s src/ directory

and type:

make

This will build a version of r8s for Bio-Linux. It will appear in the
src directory. To execute it in situ just type:

./r8s

You can then move this somwhere more convenient.

regards,

Dan
