The current version of the OVA is Bio-Linux-8.0.7:

I've created created a public AMI (Amazon Machine Image) by importing
the Bio-Linux 8.0.7 OVA into EC2 (AWS Elastic Compute Cloud):

   "ami-2dee1954"

We have been working on an 8.0.8 point release of Bio-Linux, which we
are currently testing and will release soon on "Bioinformatics.org":

My student Will McCaffery has been working over the summer to update the
Linux kernel and packages to the current Ubuntu 14.04.05 release, which
has better support for modern hardware - Especially newer WiFi chipsets.
