[Bio-linux-list] X11 with Rstudio

Dear All,

We are running Bio-Linux 8, 14.04.5 LTS.
All of a sudden I cannot start Rstudio because of a conflict with X11:

rstudio
The X11 connection broke: Maximum allowed requested length exceeded (code 4)
XIO:  fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":50.0"
      after 382 requests (382 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

R itself ( R version 3.4.3 (2017-11-30) -- "Kite-Eating Tree") works fine, x11() in R gives a device active window, plotting works.
Rstudio (desktop version) has been reinstalled.
Any hints would be appreciated.
