Per, I have never used SGE on the Mac before, but it sounds like you need to actually just launch the qmaster via the SGE startup script, or, if you don't have one written, launch the daemons manually. First, the easy way. The script: Find it by : Find / -name sgemaster Then, : /path/to/sgemaster start If this doesn't work, let me know, and I'll help you figure out how to do a manual start up.
