Yep, but that's where we can use existing algorithms and  
implementations a lot... And of course, nothing holds you from  
getting the NSArray of symbols and do your things on that, the old  
way.... One of the things I forgot to say I liked about Charles  
NSData approach is that it also provides a great public accessor to  
the raw data of the BCSequence object, for instance for an alignment  
tool to work with the char[]s of the sequences to be aligned...
