I am writing an app that requires to open files that are not always owned by the user. If I select Open File from the menu I can navigate to the directory, but all files are greyed out. Is there a way I can make those files clickable, so they can be opened? Of course I will put up a dialog that asks the user for a password. I looked through the examples in /Developer but didn't see anything that may look like it does this. Any pointers? TextWrangler for instance has a popup menu that allows to open All Files, so I probably need to do something similar. cheers, - Koen.
