I like sourceforge because it has a cleaner interface and more advanced
features but I tend to go with bioinformatics.org when I can. The reason
for this is server load and service. There is nothing more frustrating
than trying to use cvs or your sourceforge site only to find it locked up
because of high server usage. All those fancy sourceforge features aren't
worth much when you can't get to them. Plus the admins at
bioinformatics.org are great when it comes to answering questions or
dealing with problems. Try getting quick e-mail responses at sourceforge.

Finally, some people who like to stick with as much open source software
as possible are also turned off by the fact that Sourceforge went to
proprietary IBM software over a year ago. They went from a php/postgresql
oriented site to a WebSphere/DB2 environment.
