[Biodevelopers] Blastall core dump on Alpha running Redhat 7.2

2.96 is an iffy compiler at best... and your math libraries are not the 
ones that come regular with it (on RedHat7.2 it's libm.so.6, you got 6.1).

Upgrade time? gcc 3.4?
