Hi Shalini, There is an Package existing, witch is doing this job. You can find it here: http://www.omegahat.org/RSPerl/ It interconnects from R to Perl and the other way round. I once would have needed it for an project, but honestly I did not get it to work. Maybe you are more lucky. Normally it should be straight forward, no ideay, what was the reason... but did not spent much time on it.
