Due to popular demand we are running Statistics for Biosciences again this academic year.  

 

This introductory course aims to bring participants up to speed with the relevant statistical techniques involved in bioinformatics today.   Dr Andrew Dalby, course tutor adds, "Statistics for Biosciences is an introductory level statistics course. The course covers data analysis and presentation as well as hypothesis testing and the use of non-parametric tests. The course is online and provides opportunities for students to interact and discuss issues arising form the use and abuse of statistics. Students are introduced to the R statistics package, an alternative open source programme for the display and analysis of data".

 

Cost: £500 (£650 for participants who wish to gain accreditation by successfully completing an assignment)
