[Genquire-users] updates to Genquire for MS Windows

Hi all,

Just a heads-up that the next time you cvs update there will be some
differences to the Genquire interface.  Internally, this involved
changes to the Text widget that is used in the ShowSequenceContext
widget - it now auto-exports selected text to the clipboard under Unix,
but more importantly, it allows selection of text *at all* under MS
Windows (which has been a long-standing bug in Genquire).  Another
change to accomodate B.Gates is the keystrokes that lead to the creation
of new annotations:  Both on the creation of tag/value annotations for
selected features in SeqCanvas, and the de novo creation of features in
ShowSequenceContext, are now achieved by the keystroke combination of
Ctrl-Shift-a  (used to be simply Ctrl-a, but that is a reserved
keystroke combination on MS Windows).

Other strange things will start happening with Genquire soon, as there
has just been a major update to BioPerl.  I'm trying to keep up!!  Be
patient :-)
