The directory 'bin' is just inherited from the ghemical tree, from
lighemical/ghemical split. I can change it, I have just avoided changing
dir names in cvs (lazy as I am :). Which one is more standard, 'data' or
'shared' or something else?

Thanks for the dir name advice everyone, I'll try it soon. Still too much
in flu today.  :(
