Thanks, I haven't yet tried gcc-4 myself. After 4 weeks I'll go into summer holidays, and before that I'm planning to make (beta) releases of the HEAD versions (finally). The HEAD version is now a GTK2 application and it should be usable. I like the new GUI myself ; the latest goodie that I added is that operations like geom.opt. and mol.dyn. are done in a separate thread and there is a progress indicator and "cancel" button so the GUI does not freeze for lenghty operations any more. I have a 2-cpu machine where I have tested the multithreading and it seems to work OK. I try if I can test gcc-4 and add the patch before the releases...
