The application that we are working on, will be in production on Edubuntu 7.04, so thats why I asked for version 2.10 (the version which comes with Ubuntu 7.04), but if I make custom build with version 2.98 no one will have complaints.

the both versions 2.10 and 2.98 are gtk+-2.0 applications so changing to 2.98 should be quite easy.
